The Wolf of Wall Street is Martin Scorsese’s latest team up with muse Leonardo DiCaprio. The film is based on a true story of a stockbroker who went to prison for not cooperating with a federal case on corruption on Wall Street.
NO. Corruption? On Wall Street? But that’s where HONEST people go to steal!
The corporate banking world had all sorts of greed and corruption going on in the 1990s. It even got so bad that there were real life mobsters in some of the biggest trades ever. That’s a lot of dough. DiCaprio will play Belfort, who I get the impression is not the best guy, though at the same time he wrote the memoir the movie is based on, so you’ll likely see his side of the story.
The Wolf of Wall Street
Like I said, The Wolf of Wall Street is Scorsese’s latest team up with DiCaprio and the film is based on Jordan Belfort’s memoirs. Terence Winter wrote the screenplay, and he is the creator behind Scorsese’s Boardwalk Empire and he wrote a bunch of episodes for The Sopranos.

What’s Good About It?
Come on. It’s Leonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorsese. This film could be horrible and no one would notice as it gets nominated for Oscars galore.
What’s Bad About It?
I’m not coming up with anything bad just yet. I need to see a trailer before I can harshly judge the film.
Our Clever Prediction
I expect a fair number of Oscar noms for The Wolf of Wall Street, and a solid box office. I would like to see the scope of the film before getting into the nitty-gritty of how well it’ll do. I expect it’ll be epic.
