If you are like me, you’ll welcome the news of the upcoming sequel to The Chronicles of Riddick, called ‘Riddick’, which is looking to be completed for 2013 (no longer a 2011 release because of all the delays). Vin Diesel is back in production as he looks to complete the final chapter in the Riddick movie series.

Betrayed by his own kind and left for dead on a desolate planet, Riddick (Diesel) fights for survival against alien predators and becomes more powerful and dangerous than ever before. Soon bounty hunters from throughout the galaxy descend on Riddick only to find themselves pawns in his greater scheme for revenge. With his enemies right where he wants them, Riddick unleashes a vicious attack of vengeance before returning to his home planet of Furya to save it from destruction.
Quick Summary : Riddick is going to kick some ass, while flexing his pipes and talking slowly.

Interesting Fact
Director David Twohy also did the previous two movies, which is promising. The writer of Riddick (2011) is Jim Wheat, who also wrote the previous two movies, and A Nightmare on Elm Street 4.

We were big fans of both prequels, so yeah…. we like the idea of a new Riddick movie.

I am very happy to hear that there will be another Riddick flick – I hope that the new movie will be closer to the style of ‘Pitch Black’, which had a good psychological twist and was a great story that just happened to be a sci-fi thriller. Riddick is an interesting anti-hero, and the best role Vin Diesel has played. No one else could be Riddick – Diesel made that part his own. Can’t wait.
