Lovelace is the story of Linda Lovelace, a porn star in the 1970s that went through a lot of horrible things before taking control of her life and becoming an opponent of pornography.

Her real name is Linda Boreman, and she was an iconic porn star. She was the star of Deep Throat, which was one of the most successful pornos of all time. Later in life Linda said that she was forced into porn by her abusive husband, and she became a hardcore feminist and anti-porn activist.

I don’t want to go into what made her so famous, but she did things in porn at the time that were pretty rare. These are the things YOUR MOMMA now does. SNAPDRAGON.

Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman are directing Lovelace, based on a screenplay by Merritt Johnson and Andy Bellin.

What’s Good About It?

Linda Lovelace is an interesting person. Her transition from porn to feminist activist is intriguing, and the film will likely be sorta sexy at times.

What’s Bad About It?

I feel like a film about an anti-porn activist who had a history of porn should probably not have the star show her boobs. Don’t get me wrong, I want to see Amanda Seyfried’s boobs, but it sorta undermines the point that porn is wrong. I will be aroused by her boobies. They will, undoubtedly, be plastered across numerous porn sites as soon as they’re available. Good job fighting porn.

Our Clever Prediction

Lovelace will not be a very successful film, and I actually don’t think it’ll be very good. It seems like it’s tailor-made for awards, but it is ultimately about a morally questionable person. Sure, she mended her ways, but I question her story at times, and I don’t think most people will rally behind her.

Unless it’s a team of guys rallying behind her! BOOYAH!
