House of Night is the next Twilight, or at least it’s trying to be. First, no, I haven’t read the books, but the film is based on a popular book series based on vampires and a teenaged girl. Okay, so they call them Vampyres. But that’s just stupid.
Anyways, the Vampyres are a genetic anomaly that develops at puberty in a part of the population, and said Vampyres are marked and sent to a special school to learn to be adult Vampyres. Zoey Redbird, who I have to assume is Native American, what with the Redbird thing (like the werewolves in Twilight, not that I’ve seen them or anything), discovers that she is a Vampyre and is sent to the new school and has to learn about her new life as an abomination. Now lets talk about the trailer for House Of Night…

The book has been optioned for a film, but so far there hasn’t been a writer or director announced. I nominate Catherine Hardwicke. In the House Of Night MOvie, newly turned vampyre Zoey Redbird leaves her old world behind and enters a training school known as the House of Night, where she can learn how to become an adult vampyre. Cool right?
Who’s It For?
Young adults and their fascination with the Vampire genre. Although, I guess its better kids are reading something since the general consensus is we are raising a society of idiots and shitheads. Why is the Vampire genre so big now, nobody cared about them in my childhood, in the 80′s. Although we did like Alf and The Fonze, so maybe our generation shouldn’t brag too much.
Movie Release Date
House of night is now a 2013 movie release. They must be searching for a sexy male lead vampire. I nominate Jason Patrick. He was amazing in The Lost Boys, he knows the vampire character, and lets face it, he’s still hot. Right guys and gals? Right? Who’s got my back?

Since there hasn’t been any casting, I will also announce that Bob Sagat will play Zoey.

If you put Twilight and House of Night in Mortal Kombat as characters House of Night would totally finish Twilight. House of Night’s finisher? Screaming fans so loud that your head explodes.

First, I am not a 13 year old girl. After reading these comments, i feel the need to explain that i am MUCH older than that.
Now, you have every right to write whatever you want. however, i’m not sure how you can write a review on something you have never read. That is not a review. And if this is how you write all of your reviews, you may want to just call them “completely unresearched random opinions” instead.

house of night was being published as books Long before Twilight. House of night also has over 8 books and they are more well written with more background stories and research done that is used accurately in the books than Twilight. The characters all have their own quirks, there is none of this, oops, sparkling in sunshine. In fact the Vampyres in these books are irritated by the sun like the Dracula Vampyre. Twilight isn’t about “vampires” but confused cannibalistic wood nymphs in my opinion. The House of night brings about stories told by other nations about vampyres and the religions dedicated to them. Personally I wish Twilight had never been written becuase it RUINED the vampire enterprise for everyone. But all in all House of Night is a cross between Dracula and twilight in the fact that they don’t go around killing people for their blood every five seconds, though they do need to drink blood. House of night is a semi plausible vampyre in today’s society trying to live their lives but caught up in a human v. vampyre war. READ THE BOOKS BEFORE YOU CRITICIZE SOMETHING. I read twilight so I can actually tell you how while a good story in theory, it isn’t ANYTHING LIKE the House of Night.
You have no Respect for the writer. P.C Cast worked her ass of for this to happen for her and she is an amazing writer. You need to get a life and stop trashing on her and her work. She has made an amazing career out of this and to not even consider doing more research on her books is stupid because you won’t get the full effect of the story
What I would like to know is how you write a review on something you dont know a damn thing about. House of night is completely different then twilight in every way. Oh by the by im not 13 or whatever, this is an educated adult saying your an ass. An how dare you talk about the next generation of kids by saying their not well read when well your writing a review on something you yourself hasnt read!!! Say what you want but every one who reads this “review” if you can even call it that * knows your talking out your ass. Ill bet you havnt read anything other then the lord of the rings in your life. Honestly, I do not even think they have read LotR. They probably just stayed with reading Clifford Books and such..
