Horns is a romance and thriller with supernatural aspects. A young man wakes up one day as the prime suspect in the rape and murder of his girlfriend. He also has horns growing out of his head. This horns give him powers. Powers to get others to tell their sins and give in to their impulses. Ig Perrish (the guy) uses these new abilities to figure out who hurt his girlfriend and why.

Alexandre Aja is the director of Horns. He has made a few horror films like Piranha and The Hills Have Eyes (take that for what it’s worth). Joe Hill wrote the novel the film is based on, and Keith Bunin wrote the screenplay.

What’s Good About It?

I actually like the premise of Horns, and I hope it skews more dark comedy than straight thriller/horror. I like Daniel Radcliffe, and the choices he’s making to get away from Harry Potter and establish himself.

What’s Bad About It?

I think Aja is a bit of a hack. Hopefully not, but come on… Piranha? Yeah.

Our Clever Prediction

If Horns can distance itself from B-movie shit like Piranha, it might be pretty good. The first pic from the film looks cool, and I’m sorta excited!
