Hold Onto Me is a thriller starring Robert Pattinson and Carey Mulligan. The story is partially based on a true story of a couple who kidnap a rich guy to get ransom.

The woman is said to be the brains behind the plot, which makes sense, as women as devious as all hell. Her life didn’t turn out the way she wanted, so she uses a guy to help her kidnap the richest man in town, who they then bury and ransom.

That’s some scary crap. Of course, things don’t go according to plan.

Hold Onto Me

Hold Onto Me comes from director James Marsh, who has been around for a while now, though I’d hesitate to call him a truly big name director. He’s talented enough, and made the movie Man on a Wire, which was a pretty successful documentary.

What’s Good About It?

Carey Mulligan can do anything and I’ll watch it a billion times. She’s really the lead here, with Robert Pattinson playing more of a supporting role. The film looks good though.

What’s Bad About It?

Too soon to tell much, only the main leads are on board. Hold Onto Me could easily change a ton by the time it’s made.

I don’t feel there’s enough info available for Hold Onto Me at present to consider it a potential hit or not. The film is certainly a chance for Robert Pattinson to get some more experience and work under her belt post-Twilight, and Carey Mulligan looks like she has a good role to have fun with. I’m optimistic.
