It was recently announced that yet another Friday The 13th movie will be released possibly 2012, but most likely 2013 building off the last abomination in 2009. Still, we like the Friday The 13th series, we would welcome another movie… unless it’s as bad as the last one.
Friday the 13th: 2013
The next installment of Friday The 13th is still in the writing stages, but rumors are abundant of the plot, with some of them being confirmed. Rumor has it, the next Friday The 13th movie in 2013 will be set in the winter, it will not be in 3D and they will improve on the kills. Could we see Jason venting his anger on snowboarders, and snowmobilers? Perhaps he unleashes his machete on hockey players and engages in deadly snowball fights?
We have also been told that the film may take another twist, and go the way of ‘found footage’. The studio may not only switch the setting from a snowy background, but also turn it into a “foundfootage” film like “Paranormal Activity” and “The Blair Witch Project.”…. I hate this angle and hope they don’t do it, since this has been done to death. TO DEATH! Please don’t make the new Friday The 13th into a found footage film.. please!
One other version that is being rumoured .. .and we like the most.. suggests the movie could be a prequel. We don’t really know much about Jason, his mom and the background at Crystal Lake, and here is the time to tell the story. Ok, so here’s the rumour …
A prequel that showed Jason’s mother being raped and beaten by her satanic husband. Jason’s mother was pregnant when the possessed fetus starts communicating with her, commanding her to kill her husband. He beat her badly which caused Jason to be malformed, which makes sense. Jason looks really fucked up when he leaps from the lake in the first film, his beatings in the womb may explain this angle. Mrs. Pamela Voorhees ends up giving birth to Jason near Crystal Lake. Voorhees is working at a nearby diner when a camp counselor hires her as a camp cook and convinces her and Jason to move onto the camp grounds.
Jason gets picked on by the other children, he’s an outcast and a deformed one, making him an easy target. It all ends (or should I say begins) when one day the evil little bastards send him into the lake, telling him a girl wants to kiss him and he drowns. How he drowns is still a mystery, we believe he is pushed in the lake by the shitty kids, and they all watch him drown… thinking he’ll be ok.
Cool right? This plot makes way more sense than a found footage angle…

Friday the 13th: Part 2 Release Date
Filming was supposed to begin in early 2011.. but it could be a late 2012 but probably a 2013 release date. There are a lot of rumours swirling about what is happening with the new Friday The 13th movie, but it looks like it is still a go.
Starring
Derek Mears has been confirmed as Jason, Jared Pakalecki is rumored to be in the film. Unfortunately, Danielle Panabaker hasn’t committed to the film. Panabaker is doing the new Piranha 3DD movie though, so this makes us happy to see her in more horror films while we wait for the new Friday the 13th.

yea yea Kane hodder was a great jason. but…he is not jason voorehees….and its ok w/ me cause never in the original series of movies did they have a consistent jason. kane hodder was in 4 jason movies. part 7, part 8, jason goes to hell, and the true black sheep of the friday the thirteenth series jason x (which as far as im concerned did not happen)…..you can’t just go out and say so and so is jason…. he’s not robert englund….who is freddy and that is because freddy doesn’t work w/ anyone else…they’ve honestly tried to use ppl other than englund to do the role it never worked and they ended up begging him to come back. and the fact that he is in every single nightmare on elm st. except for the remake. and the remake to a nightmare on elm st. is the worst remake ever! Rorschach makes a terrible freddy. but, jason? and micheal myers are always switched out every couple of movies. and while kane hodder was the best….he still go replaced just like every other person who played jason. don’t like that fact ruin the movie for you. the remake to friday the 13th was pretty good i though the person who played jason did good…and there was not to much to complain about in this sequel. its not as good as the classic jason movies but then again im pretty nostalgic about that. i was glad they didn’t actually remake the first friday the 13th (the didn’t they just skimmed over it) cause they relised they could not top the original w/ jason’s psycho mother. but, enough of that. i hope they do bring back jared and his sister into the movie. and kill them both off at the beginning of the movie. cause u don’t survive 2 jason movies or more without dying or going completely insane and then dying or something. they should bring tommy back into the series (the main protagonist to jason in parts 4-6) but, then again theres no real point in having a “van helsing” character fighting against jason. halloween already has that w/ the psychiatrist that always appears in those films to fight micheal. sooo yea.
I think that there is only ONE TRUE Jason Voorhees and it is Kane Hodder. I think they screwed the whole franchise up when they took him out of the frigging movie. no offense derek mears but you are NOT jason f–cking voorhees.
i hope jared padalecki will be in the next film he did great as clay and i personally think he plays a phenomnal role as Sam in Supernatural
