The Vow (2012)

Demosthenes November 30, 2010 1

Yet another heartwarming romantic drama that will star the lovely Rachel McAdams.  But with its connection to real life, this may be the romantic film to see in 2012.

The romantic film The Vow is based on a real-life story that features the acting talents of Rachel McAdams and Channing Tatum.  In 1983, Kim and Krickett Carpenter got into a car accident a mere two months after getting married.  In an unfortunate turn of fate, Kim lost all of her memory and struggled to begin to rebuild her life.  Through the film, Krickett tries to win back the heart of his wife who could not remember him.  The Spyglass Entertainment production is directed by Michael Sucsy, best known for Grey Gardens.

What’s Good About It?

Sounds like a nice heartwarming film that will transcend love.

What’s Bad About It?

The Plot sounds too formulaic, and we know almost nothing about the film so far.

Our Clever Prediction for The Vow

Something like a Notebook sequel that is formulaic and predicable, but will draw a large following because of the romantic nature of the film.  For every man out there, prepare to see this movie on Valentines day 2012!
