Paradise Lost is an action film adaptation of the classic poem by John Milton. And it stars Bradley Cooper as Lucifer. Seriously.
This film is everything that is wrong with the world. This and Canada.
The basic premise for the heathens reading is that Lucifer is the greatest and most beautiful of God’s angels. He decides at a certain point that he would rather not take orders anymore, so he rebels against God and there is a big war in heaven, with Lucifer facing off with Michael, and it was a battle for the ages.
Oh, and the film makes Lucifer the hero.
Again, for the heathens, Lucifer is the Devil. And he’s the hero. Technically that’s sorta accurate to the poem, but still…
Paradise Lost
The one saving grace of Paradise Lost is director Alex Proyas, who has made some great movies, such as Dark City and The Crow. He also made Knowing and I,Robot, so it isn’t all good, but he’s better than most, and he has a good eye for cool visuals.

Who’s In It?
Bradley Cooper… Lucifer.
What’s Good About It?
I guess a war in heaven could look cool. Emphasis on COULD.
What’s Bad About It?
It’s an action film based on an old poem. Did you see Troy? Yeah. Turdsville.
Our Clever Prediction
I expect Paradise Lost to do decent numbers, but at the same time I doubt it’ll be huge. It’ll depend on the quality of the action. I’m not anticipating much from the writing. I don’t think the film will capture the quality of the poem. Just a guess.

I registered to this site just so I could say that the poster of this review is an idiot. And I never comment on anything like this, so that’s saying a lot.
The “one saving grace” is Alex Proyas? with all his bad movies?
The only reason why The Crow was ever considered a “good” movie was because it was a Twilight type movie back in the day for all the emo teenagers.
I, Robot was probably his only decent movie.
I wont even comment on knowing, besides it one of the worst movies ever.
You’re bashing the possible credibility of the movie because it’s based on an old poem? It’s one of the best stories ever written. Are you insane? Comparing it to Troy, even? Seriously? You might as well compare it to The Crow. Comparing one movie to another makes no sense. It’s a completely different story. Different directer. Different actors.
“I guess a war in heaven could look cool”. With an emphasis on could… Of course a war in heaven could look cool. If done right. Two gay guys sucking each other off ‘could’ look cool, too… if done right. What is the point of that comment? Jesus.
Do you do reviews on here often? Do you think about what you’re writing before you write them? Seriously…
@acrymonia,
I agree , Brian is a putz
Finaly a movie to emphasise the myth or legend, and not the truth or said truth. also kids will watch this movie and have an educated choice whether or not to place faith in the chritian religion, or any other religion for that matter.Seeing the movie on screen like other movies which are myths or legends will help to draw the story of god and lucifer into the mainstream of fiction or sci-fi. cool, yeah?
