Ice Age 4: Continental Drift is the fourth entry in the Ice Age series, which will continue the zany adventures of the prehistoric animals.

Not a ton of details have been released yet, but it appears the characters will all be frozen solid in the past and thawed out in the present, and live in a museum in the present day.

You know what would be really funny? If it were scientifically accurate and the animals were thawed out and were dead.

The Scoop

Co-director of the last Ice Age film, Mike Thurmeier, will return, and this time work alongside Steve Martino on the new film. Martino last directed Horton Hears a Who! So you know he’s the best ever.

Michael Berg and Mike Reiss return to script the new film, so the quality overall looks to be pretty consistent.

Clearly, they print money, so they must be good. I will say that I love the trailers with the little squirrel thing. He is just SO adorable.

What’s Bad About It?

It’s the fourth film in the series. How hard is it to come up with a new animated film idea?

Our Clever Prediction

The second film made $200 million more than the first, the third made $300 million more than the second, so this should make $400 million more than the third, but it’ll also be in 3D, meaning higher ticket prices, so if my calculations are correct, every dollar on earth, plus those that will be printed between now and the films’ release, will all go to Ray Romano.

So a lot of money will be made.

Wait. I forgot that Avril Lavigne will be in it. So it’ll also win 15 Oscars.
