Dead Shadows is a French horror film about an alien invasion that blends more traditional monster movie scares with Invasion of the Body Snatchers suspense.

Whatever the aliens are in the film, they appear to be able to infect or take over people, yet at the same time they also have tentacles and are quite horrifying.

Like a Canadian.

The story follows a young man whose parents were murdered on the night Haley’s comet last passed Earth. When the comet passes again everyone wants to celebrate and have parties, but for obvious reasons he’s not too keen on parties. Well, then shit gets fucking real. Cause the comet passes Earth again and ALIENS SHOW UP. WHAT? YEAH.

And then more crazy stuff happens as main character John tries to survive.

What’s Good About It?

Any movie where one of the character’s names is “rapist” has got to be good, right?

Plus, it’s made by a Frenchman, not a French Canadian. Subtle, but important distinction.

Our Clever Prediction

I love that in the trailer some badass guy tells him to stop being a pussy by telling him his Justin Beiber attitude has to go. That is fucking awesome. Also, the Beib is a Canuckster. So fuck them.

The visual style and general badassness of the trailer has me hooked. I’m looking forward to Dead Shadows. I don’t expect it to get a full release in American theaters, but it should be good nonetheless.
