A Fantastic Fear of Everything is a crime comedy about a children’s author who decides to change career paths by becoming a crime novelist. During his research he becomes paranoid.

First, check out the trailer. It’s tripping balls. Serious, mega balls. Then you can come back up here and have me describe my own serious balls. Of mega-ness.
So, A Fantastic Fear of Everything follows a newly minted crime novelist who is researching Victorian serial killers. Through this process he becomes increasingly paranoid, until he’s starts to have increasingly erratic breaks with reality.
And there’s something about a hedgehog, launderette and a pretty Indian girl. Don’t ask me, I just work here and am supposed to know stuff…

A Fantastic Fear of Everything

A Fantastic Fear of Everything was written and co-directed by Crispian Mills, with Chris Hopewell serving as the other director. Neither has much real experience. Awesome.

What’s Good About It?

Look, I like LSD as much as the next guy, but… HEY, IT’S A BUTTERFLY IN THE SUN WITH MOON WINGS AND ANGELINA JOLIE’S LIPS!!!
Huh? Oh. A Fantastic Fear of Everything should be good. I like Simon Pegg.
Here, butty butty butterfly.

What’s Bad About It?

The trailer is giving me waking nightmares. They have nothing to do with the LSD.
AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. THE BUTTERFLY IS AWARE. IT IS AWARE.

Our Clever Prediction

I don’t see A Fantastic Fear of Everything doing very much business, but it has such a weird, trippy feel that I suspect we may be witnessing the birth of a couple new trippy directors who may go on to greater things in the future.
