The Warriors is a remake of the 1979 cult classic, about a NY Gang who are framed for killing the boss of the city’s top gang during a time of peace, sending them on a dangerous cross-city mission to get back to their home turf alive. The film has been delayed, time and time again… making us all wondering if it is ever going to be released.

Warriors is a remake of the 1979 film, a movie that still holds up to this day. But, you already knew that… right? If for some reason you haven’t checked it out, I suggest you do so immediately.

Warriors 2012

A rough and tumble NYC gang called The Warriors are framed for killing Cyrus, the leader of the most powerful gang in New York. Cyrus has been trying to unite all the gangs in the area, so they can rule the city as one unit. When a big meeting for all the gangs is organized by Cyrus, the head of Gramercy Riffs, all hell breaks loose after Cyrus is shot. The Warriors are falsely accused of being the ones responsible, now they must make it back alive to Coney Island before retribution is taken.. back to their own turf.

The film is about their journey back to their own turf, the fights they endure.. and fighting to clear their name.

In the new movie, we are still unsure if they will write in the most memorable characters for the remake. We can only assume The Baseball Furies will most certainly be in this 2012 remake, as they should be. You can check out all the memorable gangs in the film below.

Ok, it has been confirmed by an inside source that the new Warriors movie will take place in NYC, not L.A ! Thank you! The Warriors belong in New York, the L.A version was shot down.

While no images for the new Warriors movie have been released, I think its fair to post the images of some of the main gangs in the film. We know that most of these gangs will be in the Warriors Remake, it wouldn’t be a remake without them.

Movie Release Date

Update from the set : Summer 2011 Warriors is now slated for a spring 2012 release, filming delays have pushed it back. We have a spy on set who just told us this

Filming for Warriors begins in nj boardwalk this coming week. By the Emperess hotel.

However, Scott has been pushing the release back further and further, so if this is a 2012 release it will be a miracle.. could be 2013 before this thing finally gets a release. I’m not sure why they keep delaying the new Warriors Movie…
