National Treasure 3 (2014)

Flying Brian Banana Hammock February 15, 2012 22

National Treasure 3 is the third entry in the popular Indiana Jones ripoff series National Treasure, starring Nicolas Cage. Produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and directed by Jon Turteltaub, the films take U.S. history lessons and make crazy, conspiracy theory-type action films.

The third film in the series, probably about how the Statue of Liberty is really a secret entrance to a cave filled with unbelievable riches, will be written by Doug Miro and Carlo Bernard, who have become Bruckheimer’s go to guys as of late, having written both Prince of Persia and The Sorcerer’s Apprentice. So turn that brain off and enjoy the spectacle.

Brian Koppelman {Known for: Ocean’s Thirteen / Runaway Jury / Rounders} and David Levien { Runaway Jury / Rounders} have signed on to write the next installment of National Treasure, which is now a 2014 Release date. The new National Treasure was supposed to be a 2011 release, but it has been moved back to 2014!

National Treasure 3 Spoiler
Apparently The President and Ben Gates get wrapped up in a conspiracy that proves the founding fathers were hiding more than just a secret about the USA. Ben may discover the truth about Aliens, Roswell and other details only few people know. The Book of Secrets is brought up much more in this film.

National Treasure and National Treasure: Book of Secrets

What’s Good About It?

The first two were exactly what I expected, and while they weren’t amazing by any means, they were solid films for the Christmas season. I don’t see any reason for the third to dip in quality. Plus, Diane Kruger is hot. So bonus.

What’s Bad About It?

The National Treasure franchise took a turn for the worse last time around. Cage looked uninterested, and the story turned more into an Indiana Jones mockery than a fresh take on an interesting movie.

Our Clever Prediction

National Treasure movies seem to hit the 80 million dollar mark no matter what, so depending on their budget it could be hit or miss. People are losing faith in Cage, his last few movies have been terrible and he isn’t as big of a draw any longer.

You guys are weird, I mean really – what the hell is “even though I know what you said was true”. Are you like NUTS? These movies rocked, they’re the best movies ever made! I know that’s just my opinion, and you can thinkww whatever hell you want but do not pull this kind of crap!

First, Diane Kruger is not hot, not even close, and second that’s got nothing to do with the movie anyway. Her looks doesn’t make this movie good. And what the hel do you know about this movie? Retarded Baywatc guy? Really? Is that the best you’ve got? C’mon, you state this movie to be nothing special, but you’ve got noooo fucking arguments! If you’ve got nothing important to say, just shut your damn trap and listen to people with brains, like me – THIS BOTH OF THESE MOVIES ROCKS!! If you dont know that by now, you mght just wanna wait for the third movie, or dont, it wont make any difference. U r a hopeless case!

I find your movie review insulting. This is practically my fave movie. I feel defensive like I have to post something about this even though I know that pretty much every word you said was true. So I guess this really is pointless anyway xx
