Immortals follows the story of Theseus as he battles against the titans in order to save ancient Olympus. Theseus is the bastard son of the king, and his quest will have him become the country’s greatest hero.
Relativity Media sent us these new pictures to use from Immortals. Thank You for the images!
Immortals is indeed going to be in 3-D, and has a really decent cast. The story goes something like this :
Ruthless King Hyperion (Rourke) leads his bloodthirsty army on a murderous rampage across Greece to find a deadly weapon that will destroy humanity. A mortal chosen by Zeus named Theseus (Cavill) must lead the fight against Hyperion and his evil army with the fate of mankind and the Gods at stake.
Immortals will be directed by Tarsem Singh, whose other work includes The Cell and The Fall, so the film will have a very distinct visual style. After The Fall, the thought of seeing Tarsem direct a film with Greek gods and massive battles is blowing my mind. Immortals is produced by Mark Canton who also produced 300.

Who’s In Immortals?
Mickey Rourke… King Hyperion
Kellan Lutz… Poseidon
Isabel Lucas… Athena
Henry Cavill… Theseus
John Hurt… Old Zeus
Luke Evans… Zeus
What’s Good About It?
Tarsem Singh has a very unique visual style, and he’s not the first person you would think of to direct a big budget Greek epic. It should stand out based on that and a performance by John Hurt, who I love.
What’s Bad About It?
Even if it’s twice as good as Clash of the Titans, it could still be disappointing. COTD was just bad.
Our Clever Prediction
I like that the name of the film keeps changing. It started as War of Gods, then became Dawn of War, and now Immortals. I hope they chose Immortals in order to trick Twilight fans into thinking it has vampires. Plus, one of the Twilight dudes plays Poseidon.
