House of Night is the next Twilight, or at least it’s trying to be. First, no, I haven’t read the books, but the film is based on a popular book series based on vampires and a teenaged girl. Okay, so they call them Vampyres. But that’s just stupid.
Anyways, the Vampyres are a genetic anomaly that develops at puberty in a part of the population, and said Vampyres are marked and sent to a special school to learn to be adult Vampyres. Zoey Redbird, who I have to assume is Native American, what with the Redbird thing (like the werewolves in Twilight, not that I’ve seen them or anything), discovers that she is a Vampyre and is sent to the new school and has to learn about her new life as an abomination. Now lets talk about the trailer for House Of Night…

The book has been optioned for a film, but so far there hasn’t been a writer or director announced. I nominate Catherine Hardwicke. In the House Of Night MOvie, newly turned vampyre Zoey Redbird leaves her old world behind and enters a training school known as the House of Night, where she can learn how to become an adult vampyre. Cool right?
Who’s It For?
Young adults and their fascination with the Vampire genre. Although, I guess its better kids are reading something since the general consensus is we are raising a society of idiots and shitheads. Why is the Vampire genre so big now, nobody cared about them in my childhood, in the 80′s. Although we did like Alf and The Fonze, so maybe our generation shouldn’t brag too much.
Movie Release Date
House of night is now a 2013 movie release. They must be searching for a sexy male lead vampire. I nominate Jason Patrick. He was amazing in The Lost Boys, he knows the vampire character, and lets face it, he’s still hot. Right guys and gals? Right? Who’s got my back?

Since there hasn’t been any casting, I will also announce that Bob Sagat will play Zoey.
Interesting Fact
If you put Twilight and House of Night in Mortal Kombat as characters House of Night would totally finish Twilight. House of Night’s finisher? Screaming fans so loud that your head explodes.

look everyone is intitled to their own opinion but just because you cant be bothered to read at least one of the books u shouldnt say anything about somthing that u no nothing about, this series of books are really good, everyone is always saying that reading makes you smarter but no ever told me it had to be text book i chose these to read and they a great i would read them again

wow really love reviews on books and movies where the critic hasn’t read the books, good job. HoN vampires would kick those sissyfied twilight “vampires” asses. Vampyres is also the old way of spelling it btw.
You have not done any justice to the books at all. Not only is half of the information you posted inaccurate, but your lack of knowledge on a subject you are attempting to write about is highly irritating. Next time, please at least bother to read the books before writing a review about them, especially if you are going to bash them on several occasions. That is just not fair to the book and fans to the series.
Okay, I get it, you never read the series and you think it’s just like Twilight. (massages temples in frustration of stupid people) i will try to make this easy for you…
1. H.O.N. vampires drink blood
2.H.O.N. vampires have sex, straight and gay and interracial coupling is all a go.
3. H.O.N. vampires are run by women, a goddess and a high priestess. Men are mainly there for physical battle needs.
4. H.O.N. has baddass vampire battles with true evil, not a oh so scary blank eyes low toned council. the stuff they battle try’s to rip your $hit up!
5. Zoey may be a tomboy type, but she is not a clumsy oh so cute helpless type. She is a gorgous vampire high priestess in training (title only, she owns that), and she will whomp you with spirit (the element) if you cross her.
6. There are major bitches in H.O.N. who curse and spit bile like an alley cat crossed with mean girls who do not lose that tude even when they are one of the gang. Unless they are your mentor and they totally turn on you and your goddess, seduce older men to take your maidenhood, and allign with pure evil all because they want to start a war with humans based on a vile and sexually abusive past.
Hey, read the books. then realize that this ain’t your tween’s vampire series. Here’s hoping the movies rock.
