Commando (2011)

Commando tells the story of the John Matrix, a man a group of very bad people wishes they had never MADE REALLY ANGRY! It’s a remake of the 1985 Arnold classic. The new Commando movie doesn’t stray too much from the original, because that would take originality and creativity, something that Hollywood lost around 2002.

Commando 2012

Anyways, the original Commando was about a retired Special Forces operative/logger (check out photo) whose daughter is kidnapped by a dictator. I’m guessing the new one will be about a terrorist kidnapping a soldier’s daughter. The full scope of the film has not been revealed yet, but it should be pretty close to the original.

The Scoop

David Ayer, who has directed Street Kings and Harsh Times, as well as written Training Day, has been hired to write and direct the new Commando movie.. He’s supposed to put a real world spin on the original tale. Which is stupid, as the original is awesome because it’s insane and didn’t have to make sense.

If I might make a suggestion, Arney is almost out of office. He could come back and teach these young upstarts a thing or two about being an action hero. The studio is supposedly hoping to get Sam Worthington for the film, which would be fine, as he has no charisma and bores the crap out of everyone, which is what I expect out of a remake.

Producer John Davis says the New Commando Movie is a go, and it’s going to be awesome.. but you know.. what else would he say?

We have a really great script. You know, I don’t know if it really makes sense to call it Commando. Maybe it does or maybe doesn’t. It is the reboot of it and all of that stuff. It is David Ayer, who did Training Day. He wrote it and wants to direct it. It is there and it is a brilliant script. It is just waiting for the right moment for the studio to want to make it and finding the right actor.

Trailer

Nope, but hey here’s the original trailer for old times sake.

Commando Movie Release Date

The new Commando movie will be here in 2012.

Who’s In It?

Only Sam Worthington is rumored for the part, but he hasn’t signed on yet. It would be awesome and Arnold and Alyssa Milano could be in it, but I doubt it.

What’s Good About It?

If they get Worthington, it’ll be yet another in what is turning into a long line of films where he plays a role made famous by someone else. Between this, Terminator and Clash of the Titans, he is really the go to guy for crappy remakes/sequels.

Remember, Sully, when I promised to kill you last?
Sully: That’s right, Matrix! You did!
Matrix: I lied.

What’s Bad About It?

I’m just going to repeat everything from above.

If they get Worthington, it’ll be yet another in what is turning into a long line of films where he plays a role made famous by someone else. Between this, Terminator and Clash of the Titans, he is really the go to guy for crappy remakes/sequels.

Our Clever Prediction

It’ll make a lot of money, but still not be considered a success, similar to Terminator.

Arnold has attitude and arrogance, but Sam has acting and accessibility. I think he’s the 21st century’s first actor’s actor. He will prove himself so in future roles.
yes arnold does have attitude and arrogance but if you are like me and seen most of his films they are all action and require attitude and arrogance he is mad for the film and i personally think personally think it is ment for arnold and alyssa it doesnt matter if hes got an accent lets just say your husband/boyfriend or what ever is an actor and hes got an accent the movie needs arnold and alyssa because every one will think hold on wheres arnold he didnt die in the commando film or did alyssa so therefore arnold should be in it
