Not sure how I feel about this. The original Red Dawn is one of my all time favorites.Can you remake it and not have it suck in comparison?!?!?!

I’m excited and bummed @ the same time…. excited cause I grew up with that movie and can’t wait ta c wat they do with this. And bummed cause I live in spokane Washington and it Jus some b the same considering its my hometown. It shoulda bn filmed here to begin wit. We’ve got the scenery for it and no place is like spokane!!

Well the folks at MGM just decided to change the villians from
the Chinese to the north koreans..even though the film is already
finished. MGM will spend over a million + to change it up. I think
this is so stupid. Its obvious that MGM is kissing the asses of
communist China with this move. Very bad PR MGM. The majority of
people in the US who were interested in seeing this film wont see it now. Do you really expect us to go see a film about North Korea
invading the US. North Korea is poor, there navy is weak, there army is no joke, but lets be honest they cant even invade south korea. Ok I admit even with China it was a bit of a stretch, but
everyone knows China is a military and economic power that is only getting stronger. For a movie such as Red Dawn China playing the role as invaders makes much more sense. China actually has a navy
that will have a few carriers in a few years. MGM should just release two versions of the film, release it as is in the US and
the North korean version in China. Otherwise just forget it and send it straight to DVD because it will be a boxoffice dud.

i remember going to the theater seeing red dawn an how it made me fill more proude of being an american. i look foreward to seeing someones elses view of the movie

I think this remake will be good. On the red dawn 2010 website there is alot of pictures and stories about the filming taking place in and around Detroit Michigan, which in the movie will double as Spokane, Washington.

Hope there is a “In Memory Of” Patrick Swayze in the credits. “In Memory Of” and then have the picture of Swayze as Jed w the rifle(watch the credits of the original).
