Morning Glory tells the story of a young producer for a morning show, where she tries to get the ratings back up after years of decline. It stars Rachel McAdams and from the trailer, I can also see her pantied backside. Oh yeah.

Becky Fuller (McAdams) must find a way to get her two hosts (Ford and and Keaton) to get along as well as figure out her personal life and make something of herself. The film looks to be uplifting and comedic, so why not see it?

The Scoop

Director Roger Mitchell’s other work includes Venus and Changing Lanes. The film is produced by JJ Abrams, which means there’ll be all sorts of awesome stuff at the beginning, before turning into a huge mess about halfway through, at which point someone else will try to fix his work and only partly succeed. And so the circle of life continues.

Who’s It For?

PG-13, unless we get some non-pantied Rachel McAdams backside.

Movie Release Date

November 12, 2010.

Who’s In It?

Rachel McAdams … Becky Fuller
Harrison Ford … Mike Pomeroy
Patrick Wilson … Adam Bennett
Jeff Goldblum … Jerry Barnes
Diane Keaton … Colleen Peck
50 Cent … Himself
Arden Myrin … Day Break Producer #3
Liam Ferguson … Daybreak News Producer

Interesting Fact

After accepting a role in the film, 50 Cent was forced to give up all his street cred. Sir Mix A lot is now seen as the most thuggish rapper on the scene.

What’s Good About It?

The trailer actually looks surprisingly good. McAdams has the required hotness to get me to see her films, and Harrison Ford playing a prick? Sign me up. Or buy me a ticket, whatever you do for movies.

What’s Bad About It?

I don’t think many people are clamoring for a film based on morning shows. The last time I watched one was 1995, and that was a result of heroin abuse. I was only ten years old. (which explains a lot)

Our Clever Prediction

Solid performer at the box office and critically praised. Morning Glory has that uplifting, light, fluffy tone that a fair number of people like. And check out that backside in the trailer.
