Megamind (2010)

For me, Megamind is one of the most exciting and promising animations of 2010. I’m really looking forward to this satirical take on superhero movies.
This 2010 family animation is loaded with tons of talent for the voices, and it will be interesting to hear Will Ferrell providing the voice of Megamind.

Ferrell hasn’t done a voiceover since Curious George, and he brings a lot of life to animated characters. However, I’m over my Will Ferrell quota for the year, so it could ruin Megamind for me… if I can’t get past his voice.

If you like smart, witty animations we think you’ll want to check out the rest of our coverage on this upcoming movie. Brad Pitt leads the cast, somehow Jonah Hill gets top billing as a voiceover as well, I don’t get the fascination with him either. He played a great character in Superbad, but the Jonah Hill experiment just has to end with

So what do you think? Are you excited to see Megamind? Anything about the trailer or official synopsis that you don’t like?

Official Megamind Story

Megamind is the most brilliant supervillain the world has ever known. And the least successful. Over the years, he has tried to conquer Metro City in every imaginable way. Each attempt, a colossal failure thanks to the caped superhero known as ‘Metro Man,’ an invincible hero until the day Megamind actually kills him in the throes of one of his botched evil plans. Suddenly, Megamind has no purpose.

A supervillain without a superhero. He realizes that achieving his life’s ambition is the worst thing that ever happened to him. Megamind decides that the only way out of his rut is to create a new hero opponent called ‘Titan,’ who promises to be bigger, better and stronger than Metro Man ever was.

Pretty quickly Titan starts to think it’s much more fun to be a villain than a good guy. Except Titan doesn’t just want to rule the world, he wants to destroy it. Now, Megamind must decide: can he defeat his own diabolical creation? Can the world’s smartest man make the smart decision for once? Can the evil genius become the unlikely hero of his
own story?
