‘Hereafter’ is a interesting new film starring Matt Damon and directed by Clint Eastwood.
Clint and Damon are no strangers to each other, after their ambitious movie Invictus (which was a rather terrible movie) , but it looks like they finally got things going again with Hereafter.
I have mixed emotions about this new project Hereafter, I find Eastwood’s last few movies have bee really stale, and dull. Matt Damon is respectable in a dramatic role, hell the kid can do it all. Can they bring a story about life after death in a fresh enough way to demand our movie dollars?
A drama centered on three people who are haunted by mortality in different ways. George (Damon) is a blue-collar American who has a special connection to the afterlife. On the other side of the world, Marie (de France), a French journalist, has a near-death experience that shakes her reality.
And when Marcus (Frankie/George McLaren), a London schoolboy, loses the person closest to him, he desperately needs answers. Each on a path in search of the truth, their lives will intersect, forever changed by what they believe might-or must-exist in the hereafter.
People like me who have lost a loved one in the last year, and are clinging on to the hope their is life after death.

Matt Damon … George
Bryce Dallas Howard
Jenifer Lewis … Candace
I’m a sucker for movies about the afterlife, plus I’m still a Matt Damon fan.
I found Eastwood’s last two projects quite boring and predictable. Invictus was horrible, Gran Torino was laughable. Can Eastwood pull out a winner finally?
Hereafter has little hype surrounding it, and the studios aren’t making a lot of noise about its release either. Hereafter will probably make a good rental, don’t look for huge numbers with this one.
