Devil (2010)

Devil (2010) is a new movie from the most overrated Writer in Hollywood, M. Night Shymalan. The man who always seems to land another job, a man who has ridden the success of The Sixth Sense to the absolute end. So what can you expect in his new movie, named ‘Devil’?

So what separates this new Shyamalan shitfest from his last 5 disasters? Well, nothing really, because you know ‘Devil’ is going to blow. In his newest epic flop, a group of people trapped in a elevator realize that the devil is among them. The Devil has taken over this elevator, and the building. Does this remind anyone else of an old Iron Maiden song?

Ohhh, sounds like a real hoot. A movie where 90% of the film takes place in an elevator… but wait, there’s more… the movie also leads us to a finale where the Devil will actually appear…. (spoiler below if you want to see the Devil ini the screencap)

‘Devil’ reminds us a little too much of The Village, where you just have to believe not much will actually ever happen in this movie either. Shyamalan has lost all confidence in most of us, his films are just incredibly dull and mostly predictable.

You see, what Shyamalan has done is improved his trailer skills, so he gets you excited to see his horrible movies. But wait, you be the judge, check out his new trailer for ‘Devil’.

Devil Trailer

Spoiler

I did a screencap of the ‘Devil’ in the elevator, and judging by the dark skin and bare chest, the Devil has to be ‘Bowden’. There, I just saved you 40$. Nice mask Mr Devil, you asshole.

Who’s It For?

People who think M. Night Shyamalan can make one more movie of any value or substance.

Movie Release Date

‘Devil’ hits theaters Sept 17th 2010.

Who’s In It?

Nobody famous whatsoever, and I say this with all honesty. M. Night Shyamalan has lost such an insane amount of credibility that he couldn’t find a single lead actor you’ve heard of to participate in the movie.

What’s Good About It?

The trailer will be the best part of this movie, you can count on it.

What’s Bad About It?

Anything M. Night Shyamalan touches, in the last 10 years, is absolute shit. Lets hope this is the last movie the man makes for a few years.

Our Clever Prediction

We wouldn’t even rent this, so just let us know what you think later this year.

Useless M Night Fact

the “m” in “M. Night Shylaman” stands for “morning”

I’m not a film student or anything which most of us aren’t so I don’t get all the deep meanings and how great an artist he is I just know most of his movies suck the happening was at least watchable and sixth sense was good but invincible or whatever that superhero movie with bruce willis omg that sucked devil has a decent premise I guess but if I see it it’ll probably be a bootleg

  • NeeNee says:

I like all his movies he is not making the same shit as all these other people he thinks out the box. And the people who don’t like his movies are probably just confused about the meaning, you know people don’t like what they don’t understand

  • Anthony says:

Ok guys. As a student of film I can honestly say that MOST people dont get his film. He did the “Twist” thing ONE time. And everyone loved it soooooooo much they all started looking for it EVERY time.

You never realize ANYTHING is wrong in 6th sense.
There is NO twist in Signs
The village, EVERYONE knows something aint right. A group of settlers that DONT thank GOD at a meal prayer??????
Lady… Where was the twist supposed to be. He told you she was a mythic creature, and she turned out to be what? Oh yes a mythic creature.

Most people are simply just to hollywoodized to see his films for what they are. Genuis. You expect to be taken into a story that dosent allow you to think and then when the artist forces you to. Most people say NO I hate this.

I love his work, it will become some of the most inflincuial film of our time. Filmakers in the next 10 years will be saying “I was inspired by this man”

I love how he wont listen to the critics and is never bothered either way of their opinions of his work. He is a true artist and he dosent care that you hate his work, he only made it for those that got it.

As far as airbender. If you read the trades. He had VERY little control over that. He asked to do things his way and the studio steped in and changed things. So who made a bad film? The studio and still he didnt pass the buck. He just didnt care. He IS a genuis and amazing. You can talk all you want about hating him but he will keep making great films and ALOT of people will keep seeing them.

Hello M.Knight, it’s nice to see you guest posting on our site.

I just read that M. Knight “goes against the grain?” OMG How is telling a story without a coherent storyline going against the grain? How is directing actors without care going against the grain. I guess planning bad movies and then producing them so does go against the grain of any success enterprise, so perhaps you’re right.

  • john says:

M Knight directed and wrote the wrote movie of the summer, if not a lot longer. The Last Airbender was simply terrible. He was arrogant when a reporter asked him about his recent movies and talked jokingly of suicide. I felt absolutely robbed after spending an extra 3 bucks for no existent 3-d in a movie that for nearly an hour and 3/4 sucked, a lot! I will never go to Devil, now matter how good. Truly. I hold nothing against this man except a contempt for his contempt for his audience.

  • KayKantn says:

You guys have to be kidding me. Every single one of his movies operate on the same premise. Push you to believ one thin the entire movie, then TRY to throw a big suprise at the end. In almost every case he fas horribly, and leaves aanother crappy film in his wake. The worst thing is, ven if it is a decent movie, story wise, I know the ending already

  • Cyrus says:

Shyamalan has done amazing movies. like a previous comment, everyone is so used to movies that follow the same thing. slashers, killers, zombies, and blonde girls running around half naked screaming bloody murder. shyamalan steps outside almost all of those stereo-types. were used to the normal genre of horror that people wont open their minds to look at the full potential of other horror genres.

  • UM says:

Well Shyamalan didn’t write or direct this. He only came up with the story. The Dowdle brothers are directing and Brian Nelson wrote the screenplay.

I can understand the hate for him, but I personally think Shyamalan’s ideas are great. Even if they aren’t fully realized on the big screen.

  • Edna says:

    M. Night Shyamalan has shown interesting ideas that may seem strange or even out of kilter, but remember some of the most memorable movies, later in the years to come, were considered duds and failures when they first came out. The Happening, could easily have been an Xfile episode and no one would have thought it a dud. Signs is really a study of faith and relationships in a family and what happens when it gets tested. The Village is an extreme version of a gated community, consider the new series The Gates. There hasn’t been a moment that I haven’t thought about living in a 1950′s kind of place where you didn’t worry about robbers, gangs, and you could leave your home without locking the front door. Lady in the Water proves that fairy tales can happen anywhere and anytime, not just in a land or galaxy faraway. I will see Devil and treat it as an allegory for good and evil and enjoy the scary parts and take it in as “fun”.

  • Movie lover says:

I liked all his movies so far. True artist who goes against the grain. Daring too!

Haven’t seen avataar though, but will definitely see this one. Surprised there are so many haters of him, which makes me think why?

    Ciao.

    @Movie lover,
His movies are incredibly dull and uneventful since The Sixth Sense. Also, I think you have James Cameron confused with the fella who is making Devil.
