The Fantastic Mr. Fox is another animation for the 2009 winter season, aimed at kids 8 and up.

The Plot

Angry farmers, tired of sharing their chickens with a sly fox, look to get rid of their opponent and his family. This film isn’t really an animation, its a claymation which sort of bothers me. I found the original trailer loses its luster by using this form of animation, rather than an animation which this target audience loves much more.

Still, it looks somewhat creative enough even though its based on a novel of the same name, which would probably be a good read for the kids at bedtime. You remember how to read stories to your kids still, right? If the opportunity exists, why not read them the book first, get their imagination going, then show them the film when it comes out, it will be a much better experience for your kids, and you.
