New Moon is the sequel to the recent Twilight movie, coming in Nov 2009. After Bella recovers from the vampire attack that almost claimed her life, she looks to celebrate her birthday with Edward and his family.

Bella Swan is devastated by the abrupt departure of her vampire love, Edward Cullen but her spirit is rekindled by her growing friendship with the irresistible Jacob Black. Dakota Fanning Confirmed

In January, Dakota Fanning said she was in talks to play Jane in the Summit Entertainment sequel The Twilight Saga’s New Moon. The 15-year-old actress is set to star as a sinister vampire with an angelic exterior who works for the Volturi.

Interesting Facts

• Catherine Hardwicke, director of Twilight, the first movie in the Twilight Saga, was set to be the director of ‘New Moon’ as well. Unfortunately, due to scheduling conflicts, Hardwicke had to back out.
• ‘New Moon’ begins filming in March 2009, in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
• After months of speculation and rumors, Director Chris Weitz and the novel’s author, Stephenie Meyer, confirmed on her official website that Taylor Lautner would be reprising his role as Jacob Black. It was doubted as the filmmakers feared he would not be able to become fit enough in time. However, he was given the go-ahead after gaining 26 pounds of muscle.
