An animated retelling of Charles Dickens classic novel about a Victorian-era miser taken on a journey of self-redemption, courtesy of several mysterious Christmas apparitions.
The Scoop
Ebenezer Scrooge (Jim Carrey) begins the Christmas holiday with his usual miserly contempt, barking at his faithful clerk (Gary Oldman) and his cheery nephew (Colin Firth). But when the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Yet to Come take him on an eye-opening journey revealing truths Old Scrooge is reluctant to face, he must open his heart to undo years of ill will before it’s too late.

The Good
Christmas Movies and the retelling of classic tales make me all warm and fuzzy inside.
The Bad
Jim Carrey has been known to take classic characters and make them his own. His portrayal of Lemony Snicket, The Grinch and The Riddler bothered me. Too much Carrey in a character can be a bad thing, I hope he tones it down and brings the character of Ebenezer Scrooge to life, rather than making it his own.
Our Clever Prediction
100 Million at the Box Office.
