Forget about werewolves and vampires, this is what grown-ups have actual nightmares about: being paralyzed and mute. But it gets worse. You’re lying on an operating table about to be cut open and you can feel everything.
But it gets worse still. It’s not a dream; it’s something that actually happens. Such is the bone-chilling fate for Clay, a man who puts his life in the hands of medical professionals, one of whom is his best friend. As Clay copes with the agony by having an out-of-body experience, he discovers that someone wants to make sure he never wakes up.
